3rd Sunday in OT: The prudent woman avoids occasions of sin.
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to help young women understand and practice the virtue of prudence by learning how to recognize and intentionally avoid occasions of sin, particularly in relationships, media consumption, and everyday choices. Through the example of Jane Eyre and the teachings of the Church, this lesson invites sisters to reflect on how well-formed conscience, rightly ordered desires, and courageous boundaries protect their dignity and foster authentic freedom. By growing in self-awareness and reliance on the Holy Spirit, the girls are encouraged to make choices that align with God’s truth, preserve chastity of heart and mind, and lead them toward a deeper union with Christ.
The Presentation: The prudent woman asks for Mary's help.
Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to help the girls understand Prudence as the virtue that seeks guidance with humility and trust. Through the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the example of Mary, the girls are invited to recognize that wise decisions are not made in isolation but through surrender to God and openness to counsel. This lesson encourages them to turn to Our Blessed Mother in moments of uncertainty and struggle, trusting her maternal intercession to lead them closer to Christ and to help them grow in virtue, wisdom, and freedom.
